What to Expect During Your Hearing Evaluation
At Executive Audiology Group, we provide a thorough and personalized hearing assessment to understand your hearing health. Here's what you can expect during your appointment:

Initial Examination

• Otoscopy: In this step, we’ll carefully examine your outer ear and eardrum to check for any blockages, infections, or other conditions that could impact your hearing.

Subjective Measures

(Your Active Participation)
These boothless tests rely on your responses to sounds, allowing us to understand how you perceive hearing and speech in different situations.

• Pure-Tone Audiometry: We’ll play tones at different frequencies and volumes. You’ll indicate when you hear the sound, helping us determine the softest sounds you can hear and identify any hearing loss.

• Speech Audiometry: You will listen to and repeat words or sentences at various volume levels. This test helps us evaluate your ability to understand speech in different listening environments.

Objective Measures

(No Response Needed)
These tests give us important information about the function of your ears and auditory system, without needing you to actively respond.

• Tympanometry: We’ll use a small probe to measure how your eardrum moves in response to changes in air pressure. This helps detect middle ear issues like fluid or Eustachian tube dysfunction.

• Acoustic Reflex Testing: We’ll measure how the muscles in your middle ear contract in response to loud sounds. This helps us assess the function of the auditory nerve and sound processing pathways.

Upon arrival, take the elevator to the 3rd floor and turn right. Ring the bell to notify the concierge, who will assist you with the black glass door. If the concierge is unavailable, please call 719-751-6481, and someone from our team will assist you promptly.
